I started Gift of Therapy and Consulting, LLC more than one year ago, and I have worked in the mental health industry for more than 8 years. Because of my passion for helping others overcome challenges and achieve success, I decided to establish this company.

I have resided in the Hampton Roads area for more than 30 years, and I’m a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I hold a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degree with a concentration on mental health counseling.

As for my credentials, I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a national certified counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I’m also identified as a licensed mental health professional through the Department of Behavioral Health in Virginia.
I’m experienced in providing services to clinically and culturally diverse clients. Each of my clients faces different issues, including:

I’m certified as an approved clinical supervisor (ACS) through the Center for Credentialing and Education, a division of the National Board for Certified Counselors. Additionally, I have been providing clinical supervision to master’s-level counselors and post-master's pre-licensed counselors since 2015.
While working with Tidewater Psychotherapy Services, I provided individual and group counseling as well as facilitating the Horizons Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Substance Abuse Program and weekly substance abuse groups.
